Since I bought The Complete Collection before Humble Store took them down, I won't be buying this on Steam, even for comletionists sake (I don't even have the original on disc before it was remastered in 2011). There should be a PSA from someone who bought this on Steam to stop the misinformation of guides out there intended for The Complete Collections.īarring piracy methods to make the guide useful. I finally remembered to read up on this and find out what's going on. They may have been removed from the Standard Edition, as well. I have the PS3 version, but would much rather play it on PC at something higher than 720p30 (or whatever the console version. The ini unlock also seems to unlock DLC weapons for Madness Returns, but does not let you use them, however. There's a lot of confusion in the Steam discussions about this topic, but ultimately, from those who bought it have verified the ini trick does not work anymore. The Complete Collection is no longer sold which means, the original (and its remaster) is no longer available digitally.
And the installation had both games.īut, now, Steam and Origin only have Standard Edition. Previously, some stores would sell The Complete Collection which had both games. I just looked up the Steam discussions and Steam only sells the Standard Edition which does not install files for the original game.
